Amos Mukobo Kazadi, Papa Bio Farm
Maine
(Papa Bio Farm) is a small organic farm located in Scarborough, Maine. Our mission is to grow culturally important vegetables and improve access to fresh, healthy food for immigrant and refugee communities.
We grow a variety of vegetables that are important to our community, including African and culturally specific crops. We provide fresh produce through direct farm sales, community connections, and delivery support for customers who may have difficulty coming to the farm.
We are also working with the Food Lab in South Portland to process vegetables by packaging and freezing them. This helps us reduce food waste, preserve our harvest, and make culturally important vegetables available to our community throughout the year, including during the winter months.
Our work is focused on building a stronger local food system, supporting food access, and creating a welcoming space where our community can find fresh, nutritious vegetables.
