Black Farmer Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit investment fund based in New York City. Because our investments and business support work is rooted in the Northeast, we strive to hire competitively within the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the US: Virginia, Washington, DC, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Maine. At this time, we are only able to consider applications from candidates residing within this region. The Communications Associate plays a key role in creating and coordinating graphics and copy for social media campaigns that increase BFF’s visibility and communicate our mission and vision clearly and consistently across our platforms (Instagram, Bluesky, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Mailchimp and other platforms as needed), including maintaining the communications calendar and corresponding Asana plans and monitoring social media.

The Impact Lending and Relationship Associate plays a key role in shaping BFF’s investment approach: evaluating opportunities, structuring flexible repayment terms aligned with business cash flow, and ensuring both financial performance and mission alignment across the portfolio. The role includes direct engagement with investees, and collaboration across teams to align capital deployment with technical assistance and ecosystem support.
